Behind the Light
Neil Pinkett’s autumn exhibition for the Great Atlantic Galleries contains a broad range of oil paintings that capture in some cases the drama, in others the serenity and in all cases the atmosphere of this western province. Whether it be huge waves crashing against rugged cliffs, visitors trudging across the causeway to St Michael’s Mount, small boats at anchor in harbour or the peace and quiet of a sheltered valley, Neil Pinkett’s paintings evoke the essence of the scene.
While “Behind the Light” presents a wonderful collection of paintings in oil, “The Wild side of Britain” is a parallel exhibition of watercolours from Neil Pinkett’s summer journey from Cape Wrath in Scotland to Cape Cornwall. Together, there are over 75 paintings in the combined show. Well worth a visit to Falmouth or St Just!
