Money back if not entirely satisfied   MICHAEL FOREMAN Distinguished St Ives based author and illustrator, Michael Foreman is celebrated as being one of the most famous and successful writers working in children’s literature today. He has illustrated over 200 books and ‘War Game’, which he also wrote, was made into an animated film here in St. Just by Tinman Films and screened on Channel 4 in 2002. Michael recently took some time out from creating his magical stories for children, to paint the views from his St. Ives studio, part of Ben Nicholson’s old house where he has lived for the last twenty years. “In the spring and summer I was woken each day by a sequence of amazing dawns. Framed by the window, they were just rectangles of changing colour. Same place, same time, but each day dawned different and wonderful.” Michael has won numerous awards including the Graphics Prize at Bologna, the Greenaway Medal and twice winner of the Francis Williams Prize awarded by the Victoria & Albert Museum.
