SPONSORED HALF-MARATHON RUN

Gallery manager and director of art for The Great Atlantic Art Galleries, Sarah Brittain, will be taking part in a sponsored half-marathon run in Truro, on September 18th.

Sarah had known Christine Rogers since she was a child. She was greatly upset by Christine’s death in December 2004 and shares the very real concerns of many about the threat that breast cancer poses to otherwise healthy women.

The Mermaid Centre in Truro, Cornwall, provides breast screening for well women aged between 50 and 70. It also provides an essential symptomatic service for women who are referred by their GP when problems occur. Sarah would like to donate sponsorship money raised by her Truro half-marathon run to the Mermaid Centre.

Please support Sarah and the memory of Christine Rogers by making a donation in aid of the Mermaid Centre. Please make your cheque payable to “Mermaid Appeal”.

If you are a UK tax payer THE MERMAID APPEAL can claim back an extra 28p on every £1 you give. If you wish them to claim back the tax on your gift, please complete your full name, home address and post code and tick this box .

Please mail your cheque made payable to “MERMAID APPEAL” to The Great Atlantic Equinox Appeal, FREEPOST (SWB 40681), St Just, PENZANCE, Cornwall TR19 7ZZ.

All donations will be acknowledged.
