Neil Davies - paintings
It was whilst teaching that Neil first became fascinated with the nature of the Penwith landscape and this still forms the basis of his inspiration today. He has enjoyed two very successful solo shows at The Great Atlantic where his vibrant and atmospheric landscape paintings are finding much acclaim.

Jenny Devereux - etching
Jennys beautiful hand printed etchings are widely collected and she is regularly invited to exhibit in Japan. Her work is distinctive and involves the layering of colour and images using a variety of techniques including woodblocks, pressing leaves, printing from antique lace and even silver and gold leaf that is applied and then scratched to create wonderfully textured and decorative images.

Zara Devereux - etching
Zara Devereux lives and works in St. Ives, Cornwall and like her mother, Jenny, Zaras work is concerned with creating an image using etching techniques. There are definite resonances between the work of mother and daughter; Zaras prints are just as delicate and beautiful as Jennys but still manage to retain their individuality. Zaras printmaking has been exhibited throughout the country and her skill as a printmaker is highly regarded.

Paul Evans - paintings
Paul lives in Suffolk and is a frequent visitor to Cornwall. After studying illustration and printmaking at Eastbourne College of Art, he has since had over 40 solo exhibitions and numerous group shows. Some 400 images have been used for greetings cards, calendars and limited edition prints by companies such as Rosentiels and Royal Doulton. The Great Atlantic staged Pauls first major solo exhibition in Cornwall in July 2004.

Christine Feiler - ceramics
Christine Feiler is well known throughout Cornwall and the rest of the UK for her unique ceramics. Well thought of by collectors and other potters alike, Christines skill is highly regarded and her work is well collected. Expertly crafted bowls and vases are beautifully decorated using precise, layered glazes and wonderfully balanced colours.

Richenda Macgregor - ceramics
The finely crafted ceramics of Richenda first came to The Great Atlantics attention at her graduation show at Falmouth College of Art earlier this year. Since then, her beautiful pots have been attracting much attention and selling fast from the gallery. Rich azure blues, turquoises and jade glazes are accompanied by the unusual white and grey smoked pots which are produced using highly specialised firing and glazing techniques.

Maggie Matthews - paintings and pastels
Following on from Maggies two solo exhibitions with the Great Atlantic in 2004 - at The Map Works in St. Just, Cornwall and also at The Church Street Gallery in Monmouth, we are delighted to have a selection of specially commissioned paintings and pastels from Maggie - one of our most popular artists. Maggies work is as striking as ever and she is developing into one of Cornwalls foremost abstract artists.

June Miles - paintings
June was born in 1924 and spent the first six years of her life on an island near Hong Kong. She studied at The Slade and has had a fascination with still life throughout the majority of her painting career. She lives in St. Just with her husband, the sculptor and painter Paul Mount and The Great Atlantic has always been delighted to show Junes sensitive and beautiful still lives and landscape paintings.

Myles Oxenford - paintings
Myles was born in Plymouth and paints full time from his studio in Falmouth where he has remained since graduating from Falmouth College of Art in 2000. His work has been exhibited widely throughout Cornwall and also in London at The Unicorn Gallery and at The Affordable Art Fair in Battersea. We were delighted to host Myles first major solo collection of work in April 2004 where his confident use of colour and bold brush strokes found him an army of new fans.

Fay Page - silver jewellery
Fay lives and works on the island of St. Martins, Isles of Scilly. Solid silver and gold shells and pebbles cast from local beach finds, adorn her handcrafted charm bracelets, necklaces and rings. Fays work is collected from discerning outlets throughout the country.

Neil Pinkett - paintings
Neil Pinkett was born in St. Just in 1958 and after working as a designer and illustrator he has now been painting full time for a number of years. 2004 saw Neil have another successful solo exhibition at The Great Atlantic in St. Just and we were also privileged to host a collection of Neils paintings of North Wales at The Slate Valley Museum in New York, US and The Southern Vermont Arts Centre before the collection was shown at our Church Street Gallery in Monmouth.

Roy Ray - paintings
Roy Ray is well known for his connection with The St. Ives School of Painting, of which he was principal for 24 years. Roy was born in 1936 in Middlesex and came to live in St. Ives in 1974 and which is still his home today. His work has been exhibited widely throughout the country.

Simon Stooks - paintings
Dorset born Simon now lives and works in Falmouth, Cornwall. His debut solo show at The Map Works this year has propelled Simon into being one of our most popular artists very quickly. 2005 will see Simon exhibit with us at both our Cornish and Welsh galleries and its clear to see why his evocative, semi-abstract landscapes and seascapes have proved so popular. Simons work has been exhibited widely including The Mall Gallery, London, Chancery Lane, London and The Mayfield Gallery, Bournemouth.

Carrie Taylor - paintings
Carrie enjoyed a successful first solo exhibition at The Great Atlantic Map Works Gallery this year and her work has proved to be very much in demand. Carrie lives in St. Just-in-Penwith and her sensitive observations of hedgerows, brambles and other insights to her rural surroundings have meant she is fast becoming a popular addition to The Great Atlantics team of artists.

Poppy lives and works in Newlyn, Cornwall and her work is becoming more and more collectable. Gill Watkiss - paintings
We have been exhibiting the distinctive and unique paintings of Gill Watkiss ever since our inaugural exhibition in 1996 and the appetite for her work has never waned. Gill has exhibited in numerous venues nationwide and following on from her successful retrospective exhibition held at the Great Atlantic in 2002 we are delighted to be staging a solo collection of new work by Gill in October 2005.
