Early surf
For the last six months I have been working on this new body of work based around our home in Praa Sands. Every painting in the exhibition is within a quarter of a mile radius from my home, which made it easier for me to try to paint the dawn. To try to capture something so ineffable was always going to fall short and I feel that I have barely touched it. However the experience of seeing every sunrise for six months is one I will never forget and has enabled me to paint with a deeper conviction.
