Rachel Nicholson (born 1934)
Rachel Nicholson is the daughter of Ben Nicholson (1894-1982) and Barbara Hepworth (1903-1975), who were major players in development of the St Ives artistic community. Rachel’s views of the sea, sky and beaches through windows are reminiscent of her father’s early work but as a significant artist in her own right she has done much to strengthen and take forward the sprit of the post war St Ives movement.
