David Day was born in Ebbw Vale in 1941. He attended Ebbw Vale Grammar School, Newport College of Art and Leeds College of Art where he gained the National Degree in Design and Interior Design. After a successful career as a designer, David concentrated on watercolour painting, and his works have been critically acclaimed for their colour rendition, detail and subtlety. His formal training in Design is reflected in many of his paintings. His great love of colour, form and design is obvious. His recent works in acrylics verge on the abstract, many contrasting man-made structures against a background of local landscapes.

David Day’s paintings are also available as specially produced, limited edition prints. With an edition size of 195, these 30 x 30cm prints (image size) are avidly collected and may be purchased for £115 unframed or £150 framed.

Works may be collected by arrangement or we can arrange delivery from as little as £20 (£10 for unframed prints) depending on size and distance. Colours may vary between the original paintings and the printed reproductions. All original paintings are framed.
