Feona Ness received her art education at the University of Nottingham Trent and a teaching qualification in art at the University of Northumbria. She spent 6 years working in industry as a textile buyer, designer and contract manager and has taught art at schools in Harrogate, Peterborough, Cambridge and Bristol. She has been exhibiting her work, mainly in the Bristol region since 1995 and although this is her first solo show at The Great Atlantic Gallery in Monmouth, she has shown work in this space for sometime.

Feonas fascination with powerful skies and rich landscapes dates from her childhood in Northumberland and Cambridgeshire and from time spent in Canada in the 1980s. Her work is semi-abstract but firmly rooted in the tradition of landscape painting.
Cathy Farber specialises in turning dreams into reality - both within her own life experiences and through her stunning glass creations. Having initially trained as a dancer, Cathy has always been attracted to the look and feel of beautiful things, from colours and shapes to the environment around us.
She developed a passion for glass from an early age and despite having no formal art education, took her first steps into the world of glass craft in 2002.
Cathy spent many years as a social worker specialising in mental health and looking after her children as they were growing up, but she never gave up on her dream of becoming a glass artist. Following early retirement, and with encouragement from family and friends, she set up a studio in Penallt and hasnt looked back.
Her amazing pieces capture the colours and textures of the environment around us and highlight their beauty in glass form. As well as kiln work, Cathy works with lead and the Tiffany technique and is happy to discuss commissions.
