Liz Luckwell
Liz Luckwell studied at Bristol Polytechnic, Bath Academy of Arts and Dartingdon College of Arts
Until her move to Cornwall in 2002 she lived in Bristol and worked as an art lecturer at a local college. Since moving to Cornwall she worked as a tutor at St. Ives School of Painting and in 2003 was invited to join the Penwith Printmakers.
Throughout my career as an artist I have used many different media, ranging from plaster, wax, metals and paint. The choice of medium has usually been closely linked to the context of the artwork.
These current prints are related to an ongoing theme which is based around the concept of the perfect specimen. I have been looking at this idea in relation to the garden with which I have a close connection. These prints loosely deal with the notions based on plants cells and living tissue.
