Lee Stevenson
Penzance born Lee Stevenson has been printmaking and, indeed a Penwith Printmaker, since the late eighties
West Penwith is where he grew up and it is this landscape that still provides the source material for most of his work.
“Although drawing is the foundation of my working method I find that the etching process can lead to a great deal of innovation. What develops out of the original subject matter often acquires an unexpected life of its own. Accidents are often fortuitous. It is my inability to predict the final outcome that makes etching so fascinating.”
