Andrew Giddens

Born in Dorset in 1976, Andrew Giddens moved to Cornwall in 1991. After attending Falmouth College of Art he continued his studies at The Arts Institute in Bournemouth.

He currently lives in Helston and his paintings focus on the coves, beaches, headlands and cliffs of his surroundings. Years of intimate study of the sea around the Lizard peninsula and his continuous relationship with the swells and tides, as a dedicated surfer, provides Andrew with an in-depth understanding of the raw essence of the Cornish coast.

In the short space of time that Andrew has been exhibiting at The Great Atlantic Map Works Gallery there has been a tremendous response to his work. The excitement that greets his paintings and the anticipation of his first solo exhibition here, demonstrates that Andrew will undoubtedly go on to be one of Cornwall’s leading names in landscape painting.
