Affordable Art at the Cape The Affordable Art at the Cape event at returns to Cape Cornwall again during the Spring Bank Holiday week. While affordability is the underlying theme, the work on show will be of the highest standard. Three artists who have produced a series of “Penwith Paintings” this year are being featured - Neil Bolton, Ian Shearman and Richard Stanley. Their paintings capture the very essence of the local landscape - the landscape that attracts and captivates the thousands of visitors who come to the area every year. The event will be held in the function rooms at Cape Cornwall Golf and Leisure Resort where, director, Terry Glazebrook lays on a special welcome to people coming to visit the show. “This is a classy event, which attracts many visitors who otherwise wouldn’t cross the threshold of this place - and they are always pleasantly surprised” says Terry. The work is selected and presented by St Just’s Great Atlantic Bank Square Gallery and according to director Michael Jay, of the gallery, “the work that we’ll be showing this time, really hits the spot - some superb landscape paintings, all made this year on the Penwith Hills and coast. Visitors will really enjoy seeing the show.” Admission and parking is free and “Penwith Landscapes” may be visited from 11.30 am till 5.00pm on Monday 31st May and 10.00 till 5.00 on Tuesday and Wednesday 1st & 2nd June.
