Roy Ray

This collection of work by Roy Ray is intended to supplement the artist’s keynote “Evilution” project. “Evilution” is a major undertaking, in which he looks back at the “mass destruction of innocent lives by the corrupt use of science and technology”. The first phase, currently on show at the Falmouth Art Gallery, is called “Where their footsteps left no trace”. Other phases will follow at selected venues.

Roy Ray moved to St Ives, Cornwall in 1974 and has lived and worked there ever since. From 1977-2000, Roy was Principal of St Ives School of Painting and after a “short retirement” resumed as acting Principal in 2005. He is a member of the Newlyn Society of Artists and the Chelsea Arts Club; was a founder member of St Ives Tate Action Group, the St Ives Archive and Porthmeor Printers. He has had dozens of one man exhibitions since 1981 and is an active, dynamic player in the vibrant contemporary art scene in West Cornwall.

Paintings may be collected by arrangement or we can arrange delivery from as little as £20 depending on size and distance. Money back if not entirely satisfied (provided we are informed within 3 days of your work being collected/delivered).
