Colours may vary between the original paintings and the reproductions shown here. All paintings are framed. Nicola Bealing was born in 1963 and studied Fine Art at the Byam Shaw School of Art. Since moving to Cornwall in 1988 her paintings have been exhibited extensively in the West Country and in London. She is a regular finalist for the BP Portrait Award.
Nicola Bealing Dancing Neil Davies spent his early childhood in a small fishing village in Scotland before moving south and studying at Farnham School of Art. After graduating he lived in Florence before returning to the UK to lecture at Guildford School of Art and West Surrey College of Art. Neil now lives on the north coast near St. Ives and paints full time.
Neil Davies Thundering waves Paul Evans studied at Eastbourne College of Art and Design and since graduating his work has been exhibited in over 55 solo shows and numerous mixed exhibitions. Based in Suffolk, he has been a constant visitor to Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly since childhood and the landscape still holds a source of inspiration for him.

Paul Evans A Nightingale Sings After studying at Falmouth College and The Arts Institute in Bournemouth, Andrew Giddens returned to live and paint in Cornwall and is now based near Praa Sands with his young family. Andrew has had a number of successful solo exhibitions and his work is collected widely. Sir Tim Rice has several of Andrews paintings and provided the foreword to a book about the artists work.
Andrew Giddens Catch of the day Cornish born Robert Jones has been connected with the sea for most of his life. He worked as a skipper of fishing boats around the coast of West Cornwall as a young man and his subsequent notable career as a painter has maintained a maritime link with the majority of his paintings portraying the sea. He has exhibited extensively and was made a Bard of the Cornish Gorsedd in 2005.

Robert Jones Last light Rachael Kantaris was born in Australia in 1967 and moved to Britain when she was four. After graduating from Falmouth School of Art and Brighton University, she travelled extensively, working in studios in Berlin and Melbourne. In 1997 she exhibited in Manila and taught at the University of the Philippines.

Rachael Kantaris Spring Rush Birmingham born Gary Long studied at both Birmingham and Manchester Colleges of Art before living in Canada for three years. He subsequently worked as a highly successful illustrator for international clients before moving to Cornwall to paint the Penwith landscape. He has lectured part time at Falmouth College of Art since 1993 and has exhibited extensively in the UK and overseas including at the Society of Illustrators, New York.

Gary Long Wave Triptych Jeremy Le Grice was born in 1936 on a journey from Penzance to London. He studied at Peter Lanyons Summer School in St. Ives and then the Slade. His career as a painter began whilst living in St. Just. In the early seventies he moved to Gloucestershire to teach, returning to paint in West Penwith in 1983.

Jeremy Le Grice Coloured markers Alasdair Lindsay studied at West Cheshire College, Reading University and Falmouth College of Art. He remained in Falmouth upon graduating as the docks, boats and shipyards in the town had become major influences upon his work. He has exhibited in Cornwall, the Cotswolds and London and in 2004 was awarded Second Prize in the prestigious Hunting Art Prize at the Royal College of Art.

Alasdair Lindsay A Roseland garden Born in Wales in 1964, Maggie Mathews moved to West Penwith in the late 1980s and has since gained recognition as one of Cornwalls leading abstract painters. Much of Maggies work takes its roots from the natural world, using the indigenous plant life and coastal forms as inspiration for her paintings. She has exhibited widely throughout Cornwall and London and also in America on Natucket Island and in New York.

Alice Mumford Parrot Tulips in green Daphne McClure was born in Helston and studied at Hornsey College and the Cental School of Art. She returned to Cornwall with her family in 1976 and now lives in Penzance. In 1995 she was commissioned by the Tate, St. Ives to design a mug to co-incide with the first ever exhibition at the gallery. Daphne McClure West Constable Buoy Neil Pinkett became a professional painter during the 1990s following a career as an illustrator. His landscape paintings have been shown throughout the UK and a solo show of his work was exhibited at two venues in Vermont, USA. Neil is currently undertaking a major cycle ride from Cape Wrath in Scotland to Cape Cornwall, where he was born. The subsequent drawings and paintings that are produced along the way and back home in the studio will form part of a major touring exhibition.

Neil Pinkett High cliffs at Porthgwarra Dorset born Simon Stooks trained at Shelley Park School of Art in Bournemouth and graduated from Falmouth School of Art. Simons work has been exhibited widely, including at the Mall Gallery and in Chancery Lane, London, Mayfield Gallery, Bournemouth and other galleries throughout the country. His work has also been shown in New England.

Simon Stooks Falmouth docks from Penryn III Mary Stork was born in Portsmouth. She studied at the West of England College of Art and the Slade where she won major awards and toured with the Arts Council. Settling in St. Just in the early 1960s, she now lives in Penzance. She is a member of the Penwith Society of Arts and Newlyn Society of Artists.

Mary Stork Samsara Gill Watkiss studied at the Walthamstow School of Art before coming to live in Newlyn in 1959. A decade later, she moved to a house at St.Just and this was a major turning point in her career. She painted St.Just and its inhabitants for the next eight years and her work during this time was stimulated by its wind blown streets and cottages and the vitality and life of its community. It is still a dominating force in her approach to painting today. Her work can be found in private collections throughout Britain, Europe and America.
