Mary Stork Mary Stork was born in Portsmouth. She studied at the West of England College of Art and the Slade where she won major awards and toured with the Arts Council. Settling in St. Just in the early 1960’s she resumed painting full time after raising a family and is regarded as one of Cornwall’s most distinctive and respected figure painters.
