Gill Watkiss
Gill Watkiss began her training at South West Essex School of Art before moving to Cornwall in 1959. Gill’s distinctive paintings feature ordinary people being blown along the narrow lanes, parks and coastline of Cornwall. The town of St. Just was an early influence on her work enticing her to capture the essence of its everyday life. She has enjoyed several successful shows at The Great Atlantic Map Works Gallery where a retrospective of her work was featured in 2002.
