Tom Leaper is a legendary sculptor and painter based in West Cornwall. His sculptures in public and private places command huge respect and may be seen all over Tresco, in the Isles of Scilly for example and notably at Newlyn where he was commissioned to produce a commemorative statue as a tribute to fishermen past and present.
Tom’s epic sculptures of figures in a disused clay pit and a scrap car construction on the cliffs at Botallack were featured in national newspapers.
In 2010 Tom is planning to return to the commercial stage after spending most of the past ten years working almost exclusively on commissions.
