Victoria Lochhead is an architect living and working both in London and the Bay of the Somme, France.
Victoria qualified at the University of Newcastle upon Tyne in 1984 and is currently a partner in private practice in Camden Town. She has an established reputation for her archive measured drawings of buildings, her work has been included in the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition four times.
My real pleasure is drawing, I am inspired by the work of the artist-explorers of the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, and love the clarity of their work. My own studies are prepared directly from subjects on the table before me, my favourites being freshly caught fish and shellfish. I work to capture the beautiful detail in the familiar wildlife found by the coastlines of Cornwall and northern France.
